McKinley Civic Association Book Scholarship
In June, 2009, the McKinley Civic Association will present a Book Award to one graduating senior who lives within the area covered by our association. (Forrest to Fox Chase to Cedar to Township Line in Abington Township).

Congratulations to Berkeley Amons, 2010 Abington Senior High School Graduate, winner of the 2010 McKinley Civic Association Book Scholarship. His excellent scores, letter of recommendation, and original essay indicate he will be successful in his college career at Penn State. The Book Award consists of a $250.00 check to be used for books or supplies needed for your higher education, plus an Award Certificate.

Community Service Award
Available to graduates of elementary school(s) in the area who live within the boundaries of the organization.

Rep. Shapiro presents a $5,000 grant to the McKinley Civic Association. Senior Citizens Outreach Program
The McKinley Civic Association has established a Senior Citizens Outreach Program for senior citizens who reside in McKinley.  This program will focus on assisting senior citizens and their families to locate and interact with senior organizations.  If you have a relative or know someone who might need this type of assistance, please email

Town Watch Volunteers
The McKinley Civic Association is forming a Town Watch to patrol the McKinley neighborhood on Friday and Saturday evenings. This activity requires two individuals for each patrol; we would like to send out one/two patrols each night.  The hours would be from 8 pm -12 am.  If you would like to volunteer, please email your name and address to Wallace Robinson at wrobi31510@aol.com.
