The meeting ended @ 8:40 PM Resp MCKINLEY CIVIC ASSOCIATION (February 4, 2010) The meeting of the McKinley Civic Association, held on Thursday February 4, 2010. And, the meeting was called to order at 7:40 PM by Co-Chairperson Wallace Robinson. After giving the group a brief introduction, Co-Chairperson Robinson, led our Civic group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Next, Co-Chairperson Wallace Robinson, introduced Co-Chairperson John Edgar to the group. John, read the minutes from our last Civic Meeting of October 29, 2009. The minutes were approved as read. Treasurer Frank Gillespie, followed with the Treasury Report. Treasurer Gillespie stated that there was still an outstanding check for $59.99. The report was approved as given with a balance of $1899. Co-Chairperson Edgar, discussed the updated By-Laws with the Membership and answered all questions. And, the By Laws were adopted. Co-Chairperson Betty Smith, talked about the Grant of ($5,000) the Civic Association received in 2009. Betty will give more specific details regarding this money and the purpose it was used for at a future Civic meeting. Co-Chairperson Wallace Robinson, talked about McKinley Townwatch having 5 full teams. The Townwatch teams only patrol on Friday and Saturday nights between 8 and 12 PM. Rockledge also has a Town Watch. Tib Bits of the Evening: Social Lady Devonne White, talked about Carbon Monoxide Detectors, Commissioner O Connor, thanked everyone for reelecting him, Web manager, Susan Dubrunfaut, absence was acknowledged.
